WHO WE ARE

KidSpace's story was born and grew alongside our children, as we searched for ways to create a kid space where children grow independently, love to learn, and become smart, parents feel comfortable, all while enjoying the simplicity of everyday family life.

Kidspace.store was born from the vision of two mothers, Inga and Iveta, who were determined to create the perfect environment for their children's playroom and learning spaces. The idea came from their own experiences and frustrations while searching for suitable products for their kids' rooms. The items available in conventional stores often fell short – wobbly furniture legs, mismatched colors and designs, and products designed to last only a couple of years. This simply wasn’t good enough for them.

Inga, a social psychology master’s graduate, and Iveta, a Montessori educator, decided to dedicate time and effort to finding solutions that aligned with their values and needs. Their goal was to create a children’s space that was:

• Functionality tailored to the child’s needs: Montessori-inspired solutions that empower independence—reach and choose items, return them to their place, move freely, tidy up, and even clean.
  
• Sustainable: Featuring furniture and products that grow with children and last far beyond just a few years.
• Eco-friendly: Made from natural, safe, and ecological materials.
• Aesthetically pleasing: Avoiding overly saturated, intrusive colors and mismatched elements that could disrupt a child’s focus.

After an extensive search, they discovered everything they needed to bring their vision to life: natural wooden furniture that grows with children, educational toys, and other children’s essentials that combine functionality and beauty. These products not only create a safe and harmonious environment but also encourage children to become more independent and self-reliant.

Today, Kidspace.store offers more than just furniture and toys. It includes everything a caring parent might choose for their child: clothing, decor, kitchenware, and much more.

WHY KIDSPACE?

For Kids: "Let me do it myself!" We seek solutions that blend ancient wisdom with modern technology: it's important to us that children gain rich knowledge in the irresistible world of IT while developing an interest in the world and time beyond the window, finding beauty and connections in nature. We want to give children the opportunity to form a living connection with the universal knowledge of the past, sparking their interest in the evolution of life on our Earth. Our goal is to create an environment where children grow independently, curiously, actively, and happily, making our planet more sustainable and better with their presence.

For Parents: Did you know that laziness actually drives human development? After our experience with our eldest daughter, we wanted to create a KidSpace for our two younger children where they don't constantly say, "Mom, hand me..." or "Dad, let's play...". However, we also didn't want our children to spend too much time on screens. And we didn't want the creative chaos they caused to take all evening to clean up. We enjoy spending time with our children but sometimes want to dedicate some time just for ourselves.

Have you noticed that most things new parents buy for their first child only last a few months or even days? We wanted our home to be sustainable - with long-lasting furniture, adjustable in height, multi-purpose, imaginative, ergonomic, and accessible independently. That's how we started creating a space around us where comfort, style, and our whims blend, often harmoniously and sometimes with a touch of chaos, offering the freedom to create a world that suits us!

"Kids simply love it - things that encourage their development. A safe environment where everything they need is always within reach and easy to put back in place boosts positive self-esteem. The role of the surrounding adults is to provide praise through easy and playful learning in this environment."

Based on this foundation, our company was established, considering recommendations from Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf, Pikler, and other educational approaches, seeking natural materials, ethical production, toys, and products that ensure a rich and happy environment.
